Turning 40 Blog Post

It’s hard to believe, but I’m turning 40 next week.

Part of me is honestly scared by how fast time is moving, but I’m very excited for what’s ahead. The last decade had plenty of highs and some quieter, harder stretches that reshaped what I value.

A few achievements I’m especially grateful for:
* Getting married
* Becoming a dad
* Buying our dream home
* Earning two promotions
* Learning to surf

Professionally I feel especially lucky that I get to spend my days helping solve some of Citi’s biggest challenges—working with great people, building better systems and making things run a little smoother.

More than anything, this decade taught me not to rush past the ordinary days.
